Osuuskunta Maitosuomi is an owner co-operative of Valio, which is in charge of milk procurement in its operational area and provides high-quality services to its owner entrepreneurs.
Osuuskunta Maitosuomi was created when two existing co-operatives, Osuuskunta Maitosuomi and Osuuskunta ItäMaito merged on September 1, 2019.
The milk procurement area of Maitosuomi includes 116 municipalities in the South Ostrobothnia, North Ostrobothnia, Swedish Ostrobothnia, Northern Häme, Central Finland, Southern Savonia, Northern Savonia, Kainuu and North Karelia regions.
Maitosuomi is Valio's largest owner co-operative.
